In December 2018, a new bridge over the Vuoksa River on the St. Petersburg-Petrozavodsk highway was opened for traffic. The bridge was lit with special lights to enhance its visibility and safety.

The lighting concept for the bridge was designed to enhance the overall beauty and attractiveness of the area at night, especially during the shorter days of autumn and winter when daylight lasts only a few hours.
